Optometry FAQ

  • Dr. Wallace is a Nevada Board of Optometry licensed optometrist. He regularly screens for high blood pressure, diabetes, glaucoma, macular degeneration, any vision deficiency, ocular motor dysfunction, retinal diseases, eye strain, and eyelid health.

  • We take most healthcare & vision insurance plans!

  • We take safety vouchers from many industrial companies and mines. We also take vouchers from The Lions Club, many local reservations, and various service clubs.

  • We accept cash, check, and credit/debit cards.

  • Payments for patients can be made through Care Credit.

  • Most of our glasses are ready in 3-5 business days.

  • All of our glasses are hand-crafted in house (with an extra bit of love).

  • Exams usually take about 30 minutes.

  • Absolutely! Dr. Wallace has 4 children of his own and knows how important excellent vision is for kids.

  • Dr. Wallace recommends eye exams every year.

  • Children should have their first eye exam around their first birthday.

  • Yes! We have over 2000 to frames to choose from. Focus Eye Care & Optical Lab offers the largest selection of frames in the northeastern Nevada area!

  • Focus Eye Care has three full-time optical technicians and two full-time opticians to help you find the perfect frame and fit for your vision!

  • Focus boasts the only full scale optical lab in northeastern Nevada. The lab services patients all over the United States. Our optical lab is rated as the top fabrication lab in safety eyewear in the United States! You can trust us to make the very best for you and your family!
